Out of the way,
unusual sights & sites not found in your tour guide
Join us for a trip down the road less traveled
If you prefer a dusty country road to Interstate 95,
myundiscoveredamerica.com is the website for you. You won't find the likes of Disneyworld, the bright
lights of Broadway or the slots of Las Vegas here. What you will find are sights and sites that most
travelers don't read about in Frommer's. Sometimes we'll feature places so obscure you'll have trouble
finding them on a road map. But in every case, we
hope you'll come away with a conviction that just about anywhere in America, there's something
out-of-the-ordinary worth seeing.
Share a site or share your experience with us.
You don't have to travel cross-country to find the unusual. Sometimes it's right there
in your own backyard. If there is, we'd like to know about it. If there's a particular
place or attraction you've enjoyed, tell us about it. Just send in a brief description-- a photo, too, if you have one-- and we'll
publish it right here on My Favorite Places
page.
Or, here's another way to share. Send us your first-person account of a trip you or your
family has made. It doesn't have to be big and grand to qualify, a small foray to a
nearby village, a satisfying daytrip, a visit to a unique roadside attraction,
anything that gave you pleasure. Send your story. Send a photo, too. We'll be
happy to publish it on My Favorite Trips
page
Just fill out and submit the accompanying Article Submission Form and
we'll post it here for you, your friends and the rest of the world to see.
My Undiscovered America: a work in progress
We're new on the web with a new idea for travelers. As a new site, it's understandable
that we're big on aspirations but, for the time being, little on content. But that'll
change soon enough. Today, we have only a few places to tell you about-- places that
our own editors have experienced first-hand. We're hoping, however, that as more visitors
come to our site, they too will be submitting articles and photos about the unique
places they've visited. They'll tell their friends and they'll tell their friends, etc., etc.
